Launching of ST-119
The launching of the new “Jan Maria” of Nordbank Hochseefischerei of Germany was successfully performed at Tersan Shipyard, Turkey. She is a genuine vessel in a number of Arctic Freezer Trawler newbuilds, recognized as the ST-119 design series.A sunny day for a fine vessel!
The 88.10 metre Lenght, 18.30 metre breadth, Jan Maria is designed for multi-rigging, able to tow up to three trawls, and is being outfitted with a filleting capacity for groundfish, plus a shrimp processing line on its factory deck, with highly automated freezing systems. There will also be fishmeal and fish oil production on board.
Jan Maria is designed to operate with a crew of 45. The main engine is a 7000kW Wärtsilä.
